Tour of Thomasville

During my first semester, I was given the opportunity to create a project on anything I of my choice. I chose to design a web page with a tour of my hometown, Thomasville, GA. I wanted to design the web page as a resource for the many visitors to Thomasville showing them the many sites to visit or activities available. Being my first project, I feel that I learned so much about what goes into turning an idea into a project. One of our main attractions is The Big Oak. It is an oak tree that is over three hundred years old. This project featured our big oak as the theme and I used the branches to branch out to different sections for users to choose from. The different sections showed various things to do, places to eat, sites to visit, etc. If I had the opportunity to do this project again, I would want to make the web page more interactive by including an interactive map or a feature that would allow the visitor to create a list of things they would like to do and information for each thing they chose.
